AIS is a dynamic, intercultural learning environment, welcoming students of all backgrounds and ages. We take pride in the fact that our students and staff come from all corners of the world.
Antwerp International School offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum: the Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The excellent IB results allow the students to attend well-regarded universities around the world.
Students also excel outside the classroom, competing in the Northwest European Council of International Schools (NECIS) sports tournaments and expanding their talents in visual and performing arts.
At AIS, our ARCH values, Accountability, Respect, Consideration and Honesty, underpin everything we do.

AIS competes in the Northwest European Council of International Schools (NECIS) sports tournaments. We play a dominant role, competing in every activity offered. We are well respected for excellence in our quality of student-athletes, both on the playing field and off.
At AIS, students can explore and expand their talents in visual arts, theatre or music.
AIS takes advantage of the latest developments in technology, including the use of education-based apps and cloud services for learning and communication.
What is STEM and what is our vision here at AIS?
We believe that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) demands special attention; STEM skills have rapidly become a requirement in every walk of life and in every job and economic activity.
At an international school like AIS, bilingualism and trilingualism are quite common among staff and students. No wonder then that languages form an important part of our curriculum.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is the world’s leading youth achievement award, operating in over 140 countries and territories around the globe. The names of individual operating authorities often differ from nation to nation, but the Award and its unique reputation with employers, policy makers and leaders in society remain unchanged and consistent.
Action & service
Service Learning in IB starts at a very young age. Students are encouraged to take action and give back to the community. They take their knowledge further than the classroom by becoming active community members and committing themselves to helping others and the environment.
We are very proud of what our students achieve every year.
