AIS students participate in "Art Under the Veltwijck Bridge"

AIS students from grades 2, 4 + 8 worked together to create sculptures for an exhibition at the Ekeren train station. Many schools and community groups in the area are participating in this event to mark the official unveiling of the new mural under the bridge.

A Bounce To Far + the Middle School Short Film Festival 2012

This year's exciting and funny middle school play was performed along with three short movies featuring our talented student actors.

NECIS Swimming Championship

In the weekend of the 24th and 25th of March, 25 swimmers represented AIS in Stavanger. The NECIS swim meet was their final opportunity to demonstrate what they had learned and practiced during the last 3 months. The swimmers chose to be awesome! They won 54 medals in total. 28 in the relays and 26 in the individual events.

NECIS Basketball Championship 2012 was a great success

The high school basketball teams were in action at the NECIS tournament which was hosted at the Antwerp International School. 32 teams from Europe, playing 80 games over 3 days. What more could a basketball fan ask for?

AIS Elementary and Middle School Sports Days

Our annual sports days were held last week with students from Kindergarten right through to Grade 8 participating in a total of 20 different events.
The purpose behind these sports days is to encourage students from different grade levels to work together as a team to achieve a common goal. Although the students are very competitive in the games, we like to emphasis the importance of sportsmanship and enjoyment.

AIS International Gourmet Dinner 2012

On Friday evening February 10th the annual International Gourmet Dinner took place in the Old Gym Cafeteria at AIS. A lot of people attended this charity event. You will find all the details in the next edition of Ask The Counselor which will appear on Monday February 27th, just after the mid-winter break. You will be able to watch video interviews with students, parents and staff about the event. In the meantime, click on the photo to the right for a series of photos of the event.

AIS Charity Fashion Show 2012

The designers showed off some pretty fabulous designs, the models were glowing, the teachers gave us a good laugh, and the entertainment was excellent. It was a great night but it was also for a great cause.
