Levels

 

Please see below for the AIS health and safety levels and click here for the regulations published by the Flemish Education Ministry. The rules provided by the Belgian government still apply in all situations. You can read more about the Belgian government regulations if you return to the country after a journey abroad here.

 

Lesson Delivery

  • Normal A/B week schedule

Health & Safety

  • Students stay at home and inform school if any omicron symptoms occur. After 48 hours symptom-free, students can come back to school with self-test.
  • IDs to be worn by all adults on campus
  • Campus open to students and staff only during the school day – parents and visitors by appointment only; a COVID Safe Ticket needs to be presented at Reception.
  • Pick-up and drop-off – parents must wait outside the school gates.
  • Teachers need to wear masks if 1.5m social distancing cannot be maintained. All Grade 1 to 12 students are required to wear masks while inside; if the students are sitting still in class, the mask can be removed. Masks do not need to be worn during PHE lessons
  • Hygiene and handwashing emphasised
  • We recommend the use of FFP2 masks

Co-curricular

  • Normal activities as per government regulations
    • Sports will return to training and teams as normal. Games will resume. Detailed information will be sent in ‘Week Ahead in Sports’.
    • Fine Arts programme will operate normal rehearsals. Any changes will be communicated in ‘Week Ahead in Arts’.
    • Griffin Adventures will operate normally

COMMUNITY EVENTS

  • Activities as per government regulations; a COVID Safe Ticket needs to be presented at Reception
  • Detailed information will be posted when needed

FIELD TRIPS

  • Normal activities as per government regulations
  • All overnight trips are cancelled until further notice

SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION

  • Bus service as normal with students wearing masks

BISTRO

  • Normal Bistro service running
  • All students and staff need to wear masks when queuing up in the Bistro. No masks are needed while seated.

EAL/LEARNING SUPPORT

  • Normal

COMMUNICATION

Continuous reporting of all Scenario 1 cases to the entire community will stop. Information to the community will be provided as follows:

  • Scenario 1 faculty cases will be communicated to the entire community
  • Scenario 1 student cases will be communicated to the relevant grade
  • Quarantining and/or online learning for certain groups will be communicated to the entire community

  • Campus open to students and staff only during the school day – parents and visitors by appointment only; a COVID Safe Ticket and negative self-test needs to be presented at Reception
  • Early Morning Care and After School Care operate outside only – parents, please dress your children accordingly
  • Pick-up and drop-off – parents must wait outside the school gates
  • Mouth masks to be worn by all adults and students (except Early Years students) while inside and outside when 1.5m social distancing cannot be maintained; if the students are sitting still in class, the mask can be removed
  • Masks do not need to be worn during PHE lessons
  • Hygiene and handwashing emphasised
  • Hands sanitised when entering or leaving campus
  • If a case occurs in a class, all students from the same bubble will be moved to online learning for a week.
