Please see below for the AIS health and safety levels and click here for the regulations published by the Flemish Education Ministry. The rules provided by the Belgian government still apply in all situations. You can read more about the Belgian government regulations if you return to the country after a journey abroad here.

 

Lesson Delivery

Health & Safety

  • Students at home if any flu symptoms occur (24 hours symptom-free and doctor’s note before return)
  • IDs to be worn by all adults on campus
  • Hygiene and handwashing emphasized
  • All rooms and common spaces thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at end of school day

Co-curricular

    • Sports will operate training as normal
    • Competitions will be subject to approval of other countries and schools

  • Alternative block timetable (maximum 2 bubbles per day)
  • Primary Specialist classes taught in specialist classrooms or outside

Health & Safety

  • List maintained of community members with symptoms/diagnosis
  • Students at home if any flu symptoms occur (48 hours symptom-free and doctor’s note before return)
  • Health declaration completed before return to campus after holiday
  • IDs to be worn by all adults on campus
  • Campus open to students and staff only; visitors by appointment only – interview and health declaration at Reception
  • Early Morning Care and After School Care operate as normal
  • Mouth masks to be worn by all adults while inside, and outside when 1.5m social distancing cannot be maintained
  • Hygiene and handwashing emphasized
  • Hands sanitized when entering or leaving campus and when entering or leaving any room
  • Students and staff use assigned classrooms and toilets only
