Levels

 

Please see below for the AIS health and safety levels and click here for the regulations published by the Flemish Education Ministry. The rules provided by the Belgian government still apply in all situations. You can read more about the Belgian government regulations if you return to the country after a journey abroad here.

 

Lesson Delivery

  • Normal A/B week schedule

Health & Safety

  • Students at home if any flu symptoms occur (24 hours symptom-free and doctor’s note before return)
  • IDs to be worn by all adults on campus
  • Hygiene and handwashing emphasized

Co-curricular

  • Normal activities as per government regulations
    • Sports will operate training as normal
    • Competitions will be subject to approval of other countries and schools
    • Fine Arts programme will operate normal rehearsals
    • Griffin Adventures will operate normally

COMMUNITY EVENTS

  • Normal activities as per government regulations

FIELD TRIPS

Health & Safety

  • List maintained of community members with symptoms/diagnosis
  • Students at home if any flu symptoms occur (48 hours symptom-free; possibility of self-test)
  • Health declaration completed before return to campus after holiday
  • IDs to be worn by all adults on campus
  • Campus open to students and staff only during the school day – visitors by appointment only health declaration at Reception
  • Early Morning Care and After School Care operate as normal
  • Pick-up and drop-off – parents must wait outside the school gates
  • Mouth masks to be worn by all adults and secondary students while inside, and outside when 1.5m social distancing cannot be maintained. Masks inside can be removed when seated
  • Primary students are not obliged to wear a mask but they may choose to do so.
  • Masks do not need to be worn during PHE lessons
  • Hygiene and handwashing emphasized
  • Hands sanitized when entering or leaving campus

  • Collaboration meetings with classroom teachers conducted face-to-face
