The Royal Society of Chemistry Competition in STEMzone

December 05, 2021

MYP students are competing in an annual competition put on by The Royal Society of Chemistry called ‘The Top of the Bench‘. For the first time, AIS has entered two teams for the Belgian competition. Each team consists of two students from Grade 8, one student from Grade 9 and one student from Grade 10.

The competition has national heats and the winners will have the opportunity to represent Belgium at the international finals at the RSC in London. Students from AIS competed from a lab in the new, state-of-the-art STEMzone.

This challenge consisted of two parts: the first is a test and the second is a timed lab challenge. Let’s hope these Chemistry champions can go all the way to the finals in London!
