Parent Teacher Organisation

Who are we?

 

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of Antwerp International School is an organization made up of parents and faculty working together to enrich the school experience for our students. 

 

What do we do?

  • We work to promote closer relationships within the school community, facilitating communication between the parents, students, faculty and administration. 
  • We organize social events to enhance community spirit.
  • We fundraise on a small scale to provide some ‘extras’ to supplement our students’ educational experiences.

 

Some of the Activities/Events/Services sponsored and/or supported by the PTO are:

 

  • Welcome Back Luncheon
  • After School Adventures … a wide array of after school programs for our students taught by members of the AIS and Antwerp community
  • Coffee mornings/Morning Programs … which may be social, educational or cultural sharings at least once a month
  • PTO Drop In Room at the Kasteel …. Come and visit our new space!
  • Monday Translation Hour
  • Family Events as Bingo Night
  • Children’s Surprise Christmas Store
  • Book Sales
  • English Conversation Group
  • The AIS school store for all your school supply needs
  • The weekly Panorama an online bulletin featuring goods for sale and updating you on our latest events
  • Bridges … a monthly hardcopy newsletter …. A celebration of all the wonderful happenings at AIS!!

 

How can you get involved?

 

  • Help organize an event 
  • Share your skills in the after school adventures program
  • Work as a class parent liaison
  • Help your children write an article for Bridges
  • Call bingo numbers!
